Pac Service, a Venetian company producing packaging, publishing, graphics and cosmetics cards, entrusted New Aerodinamica to improve the production processes for picking up waste on the three cutters installed. The mission of the intervention required the replacement of two existing exhaust systems, improve their efficiency and reduce energy consumption. New Aerodinamica has proposed to the customer to eliminate the relaunch fans and use only those placed on board the machine because the distance between the machines themselves and the new point of discharge located outside the shed was not a major obstacle. The new unloading area has been designed and built outside the department, taking into account the passage of heavy vehicles for loading and unloading. To do this it was necessary to realize a support structure for the pipes with a light of 15 meters and a height useful for the passage of vehicles of 6.5 meters.

In order to optimize the collection of the trimmings, 2 unloading groups have been realized, each one including a pendular by-pass system to be able to unload in 2 press containers so as to never stop production even during the change of containers. The entire new drainage area has finally been sized to receive the trimmings of the current cutters, a future one and a line dedicated to ground cleaning with 5 stations.

The separators receive air and material through a flow regulation system with balancing fan and inverter; the air is sucked and the material falls by gravity inside the caissons without the use of rotocelle. The exchange between the boxes occurs automatically without having to stop the production lines, as the pendular bypass, equipped with electro-pneumatic pistons, has been designed specifically for not having any type of block caused by the passage of material. The advantages of the new system are evident: energy saving, increase in space in the ward and reduction of noise and the presence of dust.

Another aspect that New Aerodinamica integrates by default in its installations is the construction of self-supporting and independent structures to support the entire part of the drain and specifically for Pac Service a structure was designed and built that could support the separators, the rack and almost 25 mq of walkway with a single access ladder, thus allowing access to the separators area, carry out checks and maintenance and verify the correct functioning of the deviators in total safety.

In order to increase the service life, the structures and the rack have been galvanized with a high durability class (H).

The plant management is both manual and automatic, through a single control panel with inverter, PLC and touch-screen panel.

Finally, one last aspect that should not be underestimated is that the intervention was carried out without interfering with the daily production processes of Pac Service.
