The design of a new waste recovery plant was commissioned to New Aerodinamica. The installation took place at the new Ival Litocartotecnica production plant.

In light of the excellent results obtained in the historical site of Litocartotecnica Ival S.p.A. www.ival.it, a company specialized in the production of stretched cardboard cartons, clusters and inserts for socks in coated paper, where the technicians of New Aerodinamica Srl, a company specialized in the suction and recovery of paper processing waste, www. newaerodinamica.com intervened to make improvements to the waste suction plant produced by the die-cutting activity of cardboard, the property of Litocartotecnica Ival has decided to merge the two plants (printing and paper industry) present in the area, in Buscoldo (Mantova) , and install a new plant.

The project

Thanks to the collaboration with the customer, who has exposed their needs, the engineers of New Aerodinamica have presented a project that involved the construction of a completely new exhaust area including: a main suction fan for each of the three Bobst die-cutting machines, two groups aerodynamic separation systems (one for the «White» waste and one for the «Colored» waste) whose inputs were regulated by diverter valves, two filtering groups for the abatement and recovery of the powders, a cleaning group in the press area and a balance fan. The use of a single balancing fan capable of simultaneously managing the pressure inside both SAM separators was possible thanks to an inverter for the regulation of the intake air volumes and an innovative system of dampers with instantaneous reaction controlled by two pressure switches present on the discharge hoppers of the separators which commanded the proportional opening or closing according to the pressure present inside the discharge chamber between the SAM and the baler.

The whole system is managed by a PLC inside the electrical panel and both the system control and the parameter setting can be simply performed using a touch screen panel that faithfully reproduces the system in 3D.

Particular attention deserves the management of the vacuum on the machine: New Aerodinamica is committed to recovering all its previous supply by designing and creating ad hoc only the equipment to be replaced and providing the panels for remote management of the exhaust.
